There is no single format. Numbers on this network range from all-digit references to combinations beginning PW or a longer letter prefix, with different lengths depending on the lane and the merchant's shipping platform. The reference your seller gave you is the one to use — reformatting or trimming it is the most common reason a valid number appears to return nothing.
Expect a gap of several days between the label being created and the parcel being collected, then a longer gap across the international leg where economy shipments are scanned rarely or not at all. A week or two of silence in that middle stretch is normal. If your country has already recorded an arrival and nothing has happened since, that is the point at which chasing makes sense.
The final delivery is made by a carrier in the destination country — usually the national post or a local courier — so the last events on your tracking will often name that carrier rather than PW. Sellers can sometimes provide the local number covering that final leg, which is worth asking for once the PW number goes quiet.
Cross-border economy parcels are measured in weeks, and the transit clock starts at the first genuine carrier scan rather than at checkout. Use the delivery window the seller promised as your reference point; if that window has passed with no arrival scan in your country, the order — not the carrier — is where a refund or replacement gets decided.
