Hercules Tracking

Track and get real-time status updates for Hercules shipments.

What is Hercules?

Hercules — also trading as Hercules Freight and Hercules Forwarding — is a North American less-than-truckload (LTL) and truckload carrier moving freight between the United States, Canada and Mexico. It started in 1985 as a freight forwarder in Vancouver, British Columbia and grew into an asset-based motor carrier running its own terminals and equipment across the US and Canada.

Hercules is a freight carrier, not a parcel courier. If you have a Hercules tracking number it usually came from a business shipment, a pallet, or a large or heavy item bought from a retailer that ships by freight — furniture, appliances, machinery, building materials. Delivery is normally scheduled with you by phone rather than simply left at the door.

Tracking number format: Most commonly an 8-digit PRO number; Hercules also accepts a Bill of Lading (BOL) or Purchase Order (PO) number as a reference

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Hercules PRO number?

A PRO number is the tracking reference a freight carrier assigns to a shipment when it is picked up. On Hercules shipments it is most often eight digits. It appears on the Bill of Lading and on the paperwork the shipper sends you. If you do not have one, the company you bought from does — freight shippers are given the PRO number at pickup.

Why does my Hercules shipment have so few tracking updates?

Freight moves differently from parcels. A parcel is scanned many times a day; a pallet is typically scanned when it is picked up, when it arrives at and leaves a terminal, and on delivery. Several quiet days in the middle of a long-haul leg is normal for LTL freight and does not mean the shipment is lost.

How long does Hercules delivery take?

There is no single answer for freight — transit depends on the lane, the terminals involved and whether the shipment crosses the US, Canadian or Mexican border, where customs clearance adds time. Your shipper quotes an estimated transit at booking. Final delivery to a home or non-commercial address is usually arranged with you by appointment, so the last step depends on when you can accept it.

Hercules says delivered but nothing arrived — what now?

Freight deliveries are signed for, so start with the delivery receipt: ask the shipper who signed and at what address. On commercial addresses a shipment is often signed for at a loading dock or by a receiving department rather than the person who ordered it. If the paperwork does not resolve it, the claim goes through the party who booked the shipment, since they hold the contract with the carrier.
