Bpost Tracking

Track and get real-time status updates for Bpost shipments.

24hTrack is a free lookup site, not Bpost. We don't sell or deliver parcels — we show you the scans the carrier has published.

What is Bpost?

bpost is Belgium's national postal operator, delivering letters and parcels across the country through post offices, postal points and a network of parcel lockers. Its own site also makes a point of its app tracking parcels from other delivery companies, not only its own.

One thing is worth knowing before you read your own page. Nearly every bpost number on the 24hTrack platform is in the international 13-character form ending in BE, which says the number was issued in Belgium — and the scans that follow are the international postal set: "Departure from office of exchange", "Left from departure country/region", "Arrival in the country of destination". In other words these are mostly items leaving Belgium for somewhere else, not domestic Belgian parcels. The prefixes that come up most are UL, LE, LD, CE, EA and EC. So if you are not in Belgium and your number ends in BE, nothing is wrong: you bought from a seller who posted it there, and the postal carrier in your own country hands it over at the end.

Ships for: Belgian online shops and marketplace sellers posting to customers abroad, Sellers posting tracked parcels and registered items in Belgium, Businesses using bpost's cross-border postal services, Shoppers receiving items that start on a bpost number and finish with their own national postal carrier

Tracking number format: 13 characters — two letters, nine digits, then BE, for example UL000000000BE. Almost every bpost number on the 24hTrack platform uses that shape, and the prefixes that show up most are UL, LE, LD, CE, EA and EC. The BE at the end is the country that issued the number, not the country it is going to

Typical delivery time: On the bpost items that ran all the way to a delivery scan on the 24hTrack platform — a modest sample, so treat these as rough — half reached the door in about 10 days and the slowest fifth took around 22 days or more. These are cross-border journeys, not next-day Belgian parcels, and the gaps show it: the longest quiet stretch on a typical number is around 7 days, and about half of them go a full week or more without a single scan. Nobody is handling the item during the flight or the customs queue, so nobody is scanning it.

How to track Bpost packages

Knowing where your parcel is makes it easier to plan the day you collect it. With 24hTrack you don't need an account on Bpost's website. Paste the tracking number in the box above and we work out which carrier it belongs to and show you every scan Bpost has published, on one page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a bpost tracking number look like?

Two letters, nine digits, then BE — for example UL000000000BE, 13 characters in total. Almost every bpost number on the 24hTrack platform uses exactly that shape, and the prefixes you will see most are UL, LE, LD, CE, EA and EC. If yours is longer, shorter, or has letters in the middle, check that it was copied whole. Paste it on the 24hTrack home page and the carrier is worked out from the number itself, so you do not have to pick bpost from a list.

My bpost number ends in BE but I don't live in Belgium. Is it the wrong number?

No. On a 13-character postal number the last two letters say which country issued the number, not where the parcel is going. BE means it was posted in Belgium. The seller you ordered from shipped it from there, and once it reaches your country the national postal carrier completes the last leg — often under a second, local number that bpost never sees. That is also why a bpost page can go quiet near the end while your own postal service is already carrying the item.

What do "Departure from office of exchange" and "Arrival in the country of destination" mean?

They are the two ends of the international leg. An office of exchange is the facility that hands mail between two countries, so "Departure from office of exchange" means the item has left Belgium's outbound hub. "Arrival in the country of destination" means it has landed in your country and been passed to the postal carrier there. Between those two lines there is usually nothing to see, and after the second one the useful updates often come from your own postal service rather than from bpost.

Why is my bpost tracking not updating?

On cross-border items, gaps are normal. On the 24hTrack platform the longest quiet stretch on a typical bpost number is around 7 days and about half go a full week or more with no scan, because nothing is scanned in the air or in a customs queue. Lines such as "Item has passed a checkpoint" and "Export customs clearance started" sit on either side of that silence. If the newest line is still "Confirmation of preparation of the shipment received", the seller has made the label but bpost does not have the parcel yet — chase the shop. If it already shows arrival in your country and nothing has moved for well over a week, ask your local postal carrier.

How long does bpost international delivery take?

On the items that ran all the way to a delivery scan on the 24hTrack platform — a modest sample, so treat it as rough — half arrived in about 10 days and the slowest fifth took around 22 days or more. Read that as the cross-border window, not the domestic one: a parcel posted and delivered inside Belgium is a much shorter, different service. The long tail is nearly always customs and the international leg rather than the delivery round at the end.

Who actually delivers my bpost parcel?

Inside Belgium, bpost itself, to your door or to a postal point or parcel locker. On an item going abroad, bpost carries it as far as the destination country and the national postal carrier there finishes the delivery. 24hTrack shows the status and the history available for the number, including the "Arrival in the country of destination" handover, so you can see the exact point at which the item stopped being bpost's to move.

Is bpost tracking free on 24hTrack?

Yes. Paste the number on the 24hTrack home page and you get the status and the history available for it, with no account and no sign-up. A free account is only there if you would rather have the item saved and re-checked for you than paste the number again, and you can paste several numbers at once.
